Our school total is climbing!  We have collected a total of $882.19 in our Pennies for Patients coin drive.  Want to know which classes are in the lead? Mr. Dunn’s 7th and 8th grade class has brought in $66.72 so far.  Mrs. Mehalakis’s class is close on their tail with a total of $62.90. Mrs. Hayden’s 7th graders have $58.26. So far though, our school leaders are Mrs. Morgan’s 6th graders with a total of $116.89 collected.  They want that catered lunch from Olive Garden! Keep those donations rolling in to support this worthy cause.

Did you know that our school goal for Pennies for Patients is to raise $6,500 in donations for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society?  We need your help to get there! Bring your pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, bills, or even check donations to your homeroom teacher and help us meet our goal!  If each student in our school brought in $8, we would hit our goal. Leading the way in 6th grade we have Mrs. McGee’s class with $71.48 collected last week. In 7th grade, Mrs. Vargas’s class has the lead with $15.92, but Mrs. Sterdt is close behind at $10.18.  Mrs.

Please bring in any spare change you have to your homeroom classroom for our Pennies for Patients fundraiser.  The classroom that brings in the most money in each grade level will win a tasty treat. The overall winning class will be awarded a pasta lunch from Olive Garden.  So, start collecting!

Dodgeball tournament sign ups are today and Friday.  This will be your last two chances to get your teams ready.  Just 5 bobcat bucks for each team member. Head over to the multi during lunch to get your team form and sign up.

WEB is grateful for your generosity.  We received over 1600 books for the schools in Paradise.  Thank you all for stepping up to help others.

In Sports News, Your 7th Grade basketball team took on Granite Oaks last night here at Chilton for the overall Championship. Our team was trailing at half time but hung tough in the second half. With stellar defense and awesome shooting the 7th grade team beat Granite Oaks, earning the FIRST ever Overall Championship Basketball Banner. Congratulations to our awesome 7th grade team.

In Sports News, the 8th grade boys basketball team traveled up to EV Cain yesterday for the East division playoffs.  The Bobcats knocked off Glen Edwards in the first game with outstanding interior defense. In the second game, we came up a bit short late in the 4th quarter and lost to EV Cain.  The 8th grade team finished an outstanding season with an impressive 9 and 3 overall record. Great job boys and good luck with your future basketball endeavors.

In Sports News, Your 7th grade basketball team played in the East Division Tournament last night. They first had to play Glenn Edwards. The Bobcats were trailing at halftime but with solid play the team pulled out the victory to go to the championship game. There they took on Cavitt and played a tough game. Our Bobcats made a last second block which lead to a layup and gave us the Victory! Congrats to the 7th grade team for being the East Division Champions. They take on Granite Oaks this Thursday HERE at Chilton for the Overall FISAL Championship.
