In Sports News, Your 7th Grade basketball team took on Granite Oaks last night here at Chilton for the overall Championship. Our team was trailing at half time but hung tough in the second half. With stellar defense and awesome shooting the 7th grade team beat Granite Oaks, earning the FIRST ever Overall Championship Basketball Banner. Congratulations to our awesome 7th grade team.

Today is your last chance to donate books.  As of yesterday, we reached 1,072 books. You Bobcats are AMAZING!  Turn in any more children’s books today in the multi at lunch, or room 805 or 605 any time.  Thank you for your generosity.

6th graders, there will be NO WEBSday Workday next Wednesday, December 19th.  We’ll see you again after the break.

Are you an artistic person?  If so, yearbook is looking forward to seeing your work for our annual yearbook art contest. Information, rules and deadlines are available in your homeroom.  If you’re interested, grab a flyer and get drawing!

Hot chocolate next Wednesday, December 19th.  Bring your own non-breakable travel mug designed for hot drinks and 2 bobcat bucks.  We will begin selling around 8:30. Also, in January we are going to be having a dodgeball tournament during lunch and you also need 5 bobcat bucks to sign up.  Those Dodgeball sign ups will start next week before Christmas break. Start saving now!

Hey, Bobcats! The Polar Express Dance is tonight from 4-6 pm!  Please have your ticket ready to scan to enter the dance.  We can’t wait to see you there! Your last chance to buy tickets is today at lunch.

If you received a yellow dance ticket when our machine wasn’t working, you can exchange it today at the dance table at lunch for a scannable dance ticket.

In just 2 weeks, you all collected a total of 3,491 food items in our annual canned food drive!  WAY TO GO! Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Not only will the holiday season be brighter for many families in our local area, but some of the food donations will also be making their way to Chico to help those displaced by the Camp Fire.  Three lucky classes have earned a special double lunch on Thursday, December 20th, where they will get to enjoy a doughnut party and holiday movie in the multi during PAW period! In 6th grade, congratulations go to Mrs. McGee’s class, in 7th grade, Mrs. Vargas’s class, and in 8th grade, Mrs. Allison’s class.  The top class for all of Chilton was Mrs. Vargas’s class, which brought in 888 items. Way to go, everyone!
