Young Writers… NaNoWriMo is upon us. If you have a novel that has been sitting in your head for years that you’ve yet to write or if you wanted to keep writing when you were doing your narrative, this is for you. Come to Mr. Fry’s room (607) for first lunch or Ms. Von der Lohe’s room (603) for second lunch every Tuesday and Thursday until December to write, share, and discuss your very own novel with other students and teachers. At the end, we’ll submit the stories you’ve written to the people at NaNoWriMo where other people will have the chance to see your work. See you there!!
In sports news, our boys basketball teams hosting Springview yesterday. The 7th grade team came out victorious and our 8th grade boys came away with a tough 4 point loss. The team begins the league season tomorrow at home against Twelve Bridges. Go Bobcats!
Here we go again with Chilton’s amazing runners. Yesterday, there were quite a few who ran past the 5K, that is 3.1 miles, mark. There were also quite a few record breakers. We’ll here about them tomorrow.
Hey 6th graders, WEB Wednesday is meeting today after school in room 807 for a place to get some extra help or just get some work done. Stop by and start the second trimester off right!
Attention coding club members, coding club meets today during Lunch B in room 807. Keep working on your creative craft or stop by to see what’s new.

Attention dance team members! We will meet this week on Thursday after school in Mrs. Andersen’s room – Sci 5. This week’s meeting will go until 5pm due to the fact that we may be having special guests coming! We will be starting our dance shirts, so make sure to bring your plain white shirts and any other craft materials and decorations you may have. We will be dancing as well, so feel free to change in the locker room and then head straight to Sci 5 right after school! See you then Thursday!
Attention Dumbledore’s Army… Make sure to bring your wands tomorrow. We are practicing spells during the Lunch A meeting.
The Finals are here for dodgeball. Two teams, one from each lunch, have made the cut and will be facing off against the mighty teachers this Friday after school starting at 3:20 in the gym. CJSF Members – The CJSF meeting scheduled for this Friday, November 8th has been RESCHEDULED to FRIDAY, November 15th at 8:45am due to a delay in the creation of new membership requirements.
