There will be NO WEBSday Workday today or next Wednesday.  We will be back in business February 13th.

There are only 2 days left to contribute to our Pennies for Patients coin drive, and we still have a ways to go to reach our school goal.  You Bobcats have given a total of $2,417.55 so far. Nice work! Many classes are in a race to be the highest donation collector of their grade level!  The 6th grade race is led by Mrs. Morgan’s class, with a total of $420.56 collected, but Mrs. McGee’s class is right on their tail with a total of $402.92.  In 7th grade, Mrs. Hayden’s class has collected $126.77 and is in the lead, followed by Mr. Dunn’s class with $116.41 and Mrs. Sterdt’s class with $111.48. The 8th grade race isn’t even close, with Mrs. Calvo’s students WAY out in the lead.  They have a total of $312.64. Awesome! Special shout out to Mr. Guerrero’s class, who have now exceeded the $100 mark with a total of $103.06 collected. Make a difference in the life of a kid with your contribution to this worthy cause.

During our coin drive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, we want to bring awareness to other types of cancers as well.  This week we’re focusing on Childhood Cancers. Did you know that more than 80% of US childhood cancer patients now become long-term survivors?  This Friday, please wear yellow in honor of kids everywhere who are battling with cancer.

7th grade students, please join us in room 605 at the beginning of lunch on Wednesday or Thursday to hear all about what it takes to be a WEB Leader next year.  We will have a quick informational meeting and answer any of your questions. Applications are now available and are due February 6th to Mr. Field or Mrs. Burak.  You may get an application from any of your 7th grade teachers or the front office.

There will be NO We Dine Together this Thursday or next week.  See you again on February 14th in room 805 at lunch.

Come earn one or more Bobcat Bucks by writing a thank you note to a police officer in the library! It’s easy and a great way to show your appreciation for those who serve in our community.

Do you like donuts? If so, start saving and turning in your Box Tops!  We will be collecting Box Tops from now through February 22nd. For every 25 valid Box Tops you turn in, you will receive one donut on February 28th. Start saving your Box Tops!

The Championship Dodgeball game for the 6th grade is happening in the gym today at lunch between two undefeated teams.  Congratulations to team 3 for winning Group A and to team 6 for winning Group B. See you at 12:30.

Have you purchased your yearbook yet?? If you’ve answered yes, then you’re in a drawing to win a prize basket.  If you haven’t ordered yet, log onto the Chilton website and look for Yearbook under Menu and Resources. You have until this Friday to be entered into our contest!

Wondering if you’ve purchased a yearbook already??? Contact Mrs. McGee to find out.

Someone once said, “Treat everyone with kindness and respect, even those who are rude to you…not because they are nice, but because you are.” The Great Kindness Challenge is happening right now, take part and participate!  Once completed, turn in your forms to your PAW teacher. Good luck bobcats.
